Diving and staying in South
Lombok
Whether staying at the tropical boutique resort Pearl Beach on Gili Asahan, or at
the Desert Point Lodge on the mainland,
scuba diving here means relaxed reef diving and big macro fun! The
sea is fairly shallow and the visibility is never crystal clear,
but this doesn't affect the caliber of the dive sites. Our reefs
are full of bright soft corals and colorful crinoids, which harbor
an amazing variety of rare marine life, including Ghost Pipe Fish,
Leaf Fish, Pygmy seahorses and much more.
To celebrate your successful preparation, we will go on a 3 dive trip to Belongas Bay. The seasonable sighting of schooling barracudas, tunas, and other pelagic life is fairly regular, and apart from the mobula- and eagle ray season during September, hammerheads have the tendency to sometimes school around the Magnet end June until early November.
PADI Assistant
Instructor
With self-study, teaching presentations, as well as practical
applications, you will learn how to give presentations and how to
conduct the PADI courses such as: Project AWARE, Peak Performance
Buoyancy, Discover Scuba Diving. After having completed the
Assistant- and EFR Instructor courses, you have already mastered
the first part of an IDC (Instructor Development Course).

At the IDC can now join straight into the OWSI part of the
program, and through further teaching presentations, as well
as additional pool - and open water applications, you'll gain
more experience on how to teach theory and practice.
