Around the rather remote bay of Belongas you'll find the dive sites "The Magnet" and "The Cathedral", where the seasonable sighting of schooling barracudas, tunas, and other pelagic life is fairly regular. Apart from the mobula ray season in September, hammerheads like to school around the Magnet in June until early November. Belongas Bay - exciting dives in tropical atmosphere
Scuba diving in Belongas Bay you'll find an unspoiled underwater paradise with pristine reefs, an intact environment, and impressive diving with huge marine diversity! The furthest dive site, "The Magnet", can be reached in 25 minutes by boat. A pinnacle in the open sea, that is frequented by schools of barracudas, tunas and hammerhead sharks, waits to be explored. At this dive site we oftentimes experience strong currents and rough seas. Minimum Prerequisites for diving the "Magnet" and the "Cathedral" are an advanced certification and, from November until end April, 50 logged dives. From May until end October, 100 logged dives. We reserve the right to ask for a check dive before diving at these dive sites.
The other dive sites in Belongas Bay are very suitable for the less experienced divers and wait with breathtaking coral reefs and an abundance of underwater life. Schools of mobula rays or macro paradise - here you can find it all. For diving in Belongas Bay we use our 9m fiberglass boats with two 40hp engines, and most of the dive sites can be reached within a 15 minute boat ride. Per day there are up to 4 dive outings possible, at which we take a maximum of 6 divers and 2 guides onto the speedboat.
We offer diving at Belongas Bay as day trips starting from Senggigi, Sekotong, as well as from Kuta, Lombok. However, we suggest that you book a minimum of 2 days and 1 night, if you want to "definitely" dive at "The Magnet" or at "The Cathedral". Due to the fairly long drive from Senggigi and Kuta we cannot guarantee that the water conditions allow us to go out to these dive sites if arriving late from the mentioned destinations.

On the scenically rugged south coast, in a secluded and shady beach side oasis of coconut palms, lies "THE LODGE @ BELONGAS BAY. Nested in the protected bay Teluk Sepi, the lodge can be reached in 5 minutes per boat. The lodge is made up of 3 comfortable and tastefully furnished Teakwood Bungalows. 2 bungalows are free standing, furnished with queen size beds, and the 3rd bungalow with a double and a triple room. The terrace invites to enjoy a relaxed post dive evening, and the bay offers pristine beaches for swimming and relaxing!
The Lodge at Belongas Bay consists of one double bedroom and two single bedroom bungalows. Designed and situated to take advantage of the sea breezes and the spectacular panorama views over the bay and the surrounding ranges. The accommodation is constructed from a variety of local materials that add rustic, seaside ambience.
The double elevated lodge comprises a private outdoor hot water shower downstairs, with upstairs a master bedroom and a single bedroom with ensuite toilets. A breezy open plan living area and balcony are perfect for relaxing and savouring the picturesque solitude of this unique tropical beachside heaven. The single bedroom bungalows have a deluxe private open bathroom and an inviting front porch.
There is a full board meal service with quality Indonesian food. Special wishes, e.g. vegetarian meals, are no problem, and the friendly staff will be happy to oblige.
