Around the rather remote bay of Belongas you'll find the dive sites "The Magnet" and "The Cathedral", where the seasonable sighting of schooling barracudas, tunas, and other pelagic life is fairly regular. Apart from the mobula ray season in September, hammerheads like to school around the Magnet in June until early November. Desert Point Lodges is located on a pretty remote area between the world famous Bangko Bangko wave (Desert Point) and the small Pelangan village. If you're in search of 10 second barrels, local culture, the amazing under water life or a stress free environment; you've found the right place!
Don't expect internet access, cable television and modern facilities, instead we offer a simple but beautiful lodge, delicious food, a friendly ambience and a stunning environment!
The four lodges are traditionally built in Sasak style, made from wood. One of the bungalows has a king size bed, the other three bungalows are equipped with two separate beds. There is a closet for your clothes, a fan at 6 meter high ceiling, a bathroom with shower and a western toilet. Outside the bungalow you'll find a nice veranda where you can sit down and count your blessings. If you want to stay with more people in one bungalow, no problem! We just put an extra mattress in there! Near the beachfront you'll find a restaurant where you can enjoy local dishes for modest prices. And local here means fresh fish, delicious fruit and the best rice in town. Feeling a bit homesick?
